To perform mutual in-depth study, exploration of Buddhist doctrines, enhancement of friendship, and increasing of cooperation between the 5 major traditions of Buddhism around the world (Theravadayana, Mahayana, Vajrayana, Tantrayana, Zen), along exchange with Buddhist scholars and the extensive multitude of lay practitioners of Buddhism with correct faith. The establishment of the World United Buddhist Sangha Cultural Exchange Council (UBSC) is to eliminated discrimination between various different traditions, male and female Sangha, Sangha and lay practitioners, Sangha and Scholars, so as to better help, save and deliver sentient beings. For the convenience of documentation and so as to not overlap with current registrations this organization, “World United Buddhist Sangha Cultural Exchange Council (UBSC) is simplified as “United Buddhist Sangha Council” and abbreviated in English as “UBSC”. In the below constitution and charter the organization will be referred to as “UBSC”.
